A fix is required to perfect the request. The request has been rejected as being too vague, burdensome or otherwise unprocessable.

Below is a modified request that hopefully clarifies my request, is less burdensome, and more processable:

Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
Intranet communication (i.e. internal emails) that fit the following conditions:
1. Sent or received between 12/3/18 and 1/1/10, including the dates 12/3/18 and 1/1/10
2. That contain at least one of the following non-case sensitive key-strings:
a. Complicit
3. Sent and Received from irs.gov emails or servers
Or in this requests is the logical or.
I am limiting my request to the most recent 50 pages of emails. I would like the emails in the native electronic format with the appropriate metadata. As FOIA guidelines do not consider the length or size of digital items in regard to size I hope you will concur that each email is approximately one page if we used the print to fit option. Since I am entitled to receive documents in the native electronic format, I am therefore limiting my request to the 50 most recent emails. Due to this limitation and FOIA regulations I do not anticipate any fees for this request.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you,
John Ricker

Hi,

I just wanted to check in on this request. I realize that with the shutdown the IRS likely developed a backlog; however, I just wanted a quick update/acknowledgement.

Thanks,

John Ricker
