This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:

All disclosable information from your database of exempt organization complaints for the period from January 1, 2013, to present.

We understand that the existence of an investigation and the results of investigations are not disclosable, per the guidance on the IRS website at: https://www.irs.gov/newsroom/irs-complaint-process-for-tax-exempt-organizations

We are only seeking all available and public information contained in the database, preferably in an electronic format that can be analyzed using a standard spreadsheet or text program.

Additionally, we would like a summary of aggregate complaints received by resolution type for the requested period.

I am a journalist for MapLight, a 501(c)(3) research organization based in Berkeley, California. The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
