I would like to appeal. I believe that there is an overriding public interest in records related to Whitey Bulger. Whitey Bulger has been the subject of two major motion pictures, and is serving life in prison. I do not believe that under any circumstances could the release of records related to such an infamous (and convicted) inmate be construed as an unwarranted invasion of privacy.

In addition, I believe I read that INTERPOL records need only to be saved for a certain number of years following the end of an active investigation. Meaning that said records could be destoryed while a prisoner is in prison.

It is my express hope that this request results in the prevention of any records related to Whitey Bulger from being destroyed before his eventual death in prison. I believe that INTERPOL might have interesting records related to Mr. Bulger, especially considering the length of his time on the lamb. Said records would most certainly have historical value, and should not destroyed.
