To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

a copy of the list or printout or database listing of Inspector General investigations closed/reports completed during calendar year 2017. If the list is organized by FY rather than calendar year, the FY 2017 list is sufficient for this request. If no central list or database exists, then I request that the equivalent information be provided in the form of copies of the cover sheet or first page of each IG report completed during calendar year 2017.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

Emma Best

Good afternoon Ms. Best. Acknowledgment letter signed by Stephanie Blaney, FOIA Officer. No hard copy to follow. If you are unable to open the document, please let us know by return email (addressed either to me, or to FOIA.Resource@nrc.gov<mailto:FOIA.Resource@nrc.gov>) or call 301-415-7169.

If you are interested in receiving information from the NRC FOIA program, subscribe to our distribution list<https://service.govdelivery.com/accounts/USNRC/subscriber/new>.

I would like to clarify the scope of the records you are requesting. Our Office of Inspector General (OIG) has asked whether you intend to, or are amenable to construing your request, to reach any AUDIT REPORTS or INVESTIGATION REPORTS (as compared to all the workpapers, notes, interview transcripts, etc. that may preceded the issuance of these final documents). While I realize that you will not be incurring fees for the processing of your request, limiting your request to the reports themselves will facilitate the search and expedite processing. Please advise. I have put the tasking I did to OIG on hold until I hear from you,

Thank you.

With apologies, Ms. Best. I have been attempting to reach you for a week now, trying to clarify the scope of/meaning of the above-referenced FOIA request. Because you have submitted multiple requests in a short period of time, apparently each with a different email address at which to contact you, I am uncertain whether you have received these communications. Although the first listed email address is the one that I believe corresponds to the above-referenced request (for "Copies of records mentioning or describing audits, reviews, investigations or reports regarding the agency's cyber security, including audits or investigations regarding the state of the agency's cyber security regarding potential attacks as well as audits and investigations conducted in the wake of a suspected or actual cyber attack, hacking incident or breach. Please include materials generated between 1 January 1996 and 30 June 2016."), I would appreciate if you would provide me with the requested clarification and confirm the correct email address to use.

I have had to place your request on hold until I receive that clarification.

Thank you,
