Born Feb. 26, 1907 in Shelbyville, TN.
Died Jul 27, 1979 in New York City (345 East 57th Street).
Grew up in Brookhaven, Miss.
Bachelor's degree from Mississippi College in Clinton, Miss., in 1927.
Master's degree in theology from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY in 1930.
Columbia Broadcasting System 1933-1950
National Broadcasting System 1951-1958
Columbia University 1959-1975
Married the former Mary Elizabeth Plummer in 1935.
Daughter, Ali Taylor
Two brothers, Dr. Garland F. Taylor, of Macon, Ga., and John A. Taylor, of Winter Haven, Fla.
