Index for leak investigations into Fred Burton

This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:

An index of files related to leak investigations into "Fred Burton", a member of the Diplomatic Security Service from 1986 to 1998.

I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press, and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

I am asking if you could confirm that the request is *not* limited to any dates. In other words, I would like responsive documents from any dates whatsoever, as I stated on December 10, and NOT, as erroneously stated on Dec 3, only responsive documents from Dec 31, 1999 to present.

This is just a note regarding my request with reference number #F-2013-20108 and estimated completion date of September 2014. I spoke with Charlotte Duckett today (March 6th) at the FOIA Requester Service Center to clarify the business about the Dec 3 and Dec 9 emails. She said you have the correct information, which is that I do *not* limit the request to any dates and would like all responsive materials. So everything's clear now. Thank you.
