From: U.S. Census Bureau

Your request for Fee Waiver for the FOIA request DOC-CEN-2019-001626 has been denied.
* Fee Waiver Original Justification: As my primary purpose is to inform about government activities by reporting on it and
making the raw data available, I request that fees be waived.
* Fee Waiver Disposition Reason: Does not meet legal criteria for fee waiver

From: Emma Best

I am appealing the denial of the fee waiver, as the request and the full explanation for the fee status and waiver requests leaves little room to doubt that the public will be meaningfully informed about the government's operations and activities, and that there is no commercial interest in the request. To claim that this doesn't meet the legal standard is absurd.
