ICE E-mails and Memos on SOPA

To Whom It May Concern:

This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:

Any memos, e-mails, reports or other documents prepared by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and sent to any members of Congress or congressional staff regarding the proposed Stop Online Piracy Act currently being considered in Congress. Please search any high-priority electronic or non-electronic communication logging systems used for congressional correspondence from within any departments who might be consulted on this issue.

Please provide expedited processing on this request. Expedited process is available in cases where there is a "matter of widespread and exceptional media interest in which there exist possible questions about the government's integrity which effect public confidence." This is the case of proposed SOPA legislation.

The governmental integrity of Internet domain seizures has been widely and regularly called into question over the past year, and SOPA enshrines into law already controversial practices.

I am a member of the media whose coverage is widely disseminated to national and international audiences.

I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.
