To Whom It May Concern:

This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:

Annual lists for higher education schools on Heightened Cash Management 1 and Heightened Cash Management 2 for the years 2008 to the present.

It has been publicly acknowledged and widely reported that these lists exist, as noted in the following excerpt from this article: https://www.insidehighered.com/news/2015/03/26/education-dept-keeps-secret-names-colleges-found-be-risky-students-taxpayers

'However, a department official said in an email this week that it “is not accurate to state that the Department does not have a listing of all institutions currently subjected to heightened cash monitoring 1 and 2."'

The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, and is not being made for commercial usage.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

Alex Richardson
