Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
I am requesting all pertinent files (including indictments, court transcripts, phone and wire taps, and internal communication) regarding Harold Joseph Rosenthal, formerly prison inmate #08075-02, who died in an Atlanta prison 8/3/2018 after being sentenced to life in prison on charges stemming from a massive drug smuggling operation throughout the United States.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

In your request you indicated that Harold Joseph Rosenthal is deceased. To process thisrequest, we require proof of death. To the extent that non-public responsiverecords exist, without consent, proof of death, or an overriding publicinterest, disclosure of law enforcement records concerning an individual couldreasonably be expected to constitute an unwarranted invasion of personalprivacy. See 5 U.S.C. § 552(b)(7)(C). Because any non-public records responsiveto your request would be categorically exempt from disclosure, this Office isnot required to conduct a search for the requested records. Acceptable forms ofproof of death include obituaries, death certificates, recognized sources thatcan be documented, date of birth is 100 years or greater, or Social SecurityIndex Page.

This is in response to receipt of the proof of death pertaining to Harold Joseph Rosenthal. Please note that that what you provided as proof of death does not meet the FOIA requirements.
Where a request forrecords pertains to another individual, a requester may receive greater accessby submitting either a notarized authorization signed by that individual or adeclaration made in compliance with the requirements set forth in 28 U.S.C. §1746 by that individual authorizing disclosure of the records to the requester,or by submitting proof that the individual is deceased (e.g., a copy of a deathcertificate or an obituary). As anexercise of administrative discretion, the agency can require a requester tosupply additional information if necessary in order to verify that a particularindividual has consented to disclosure.
