Guidance re: Securus (Department of Justice, Office of Legal Counsel)

Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

Agency guidance — including directives, memos, and other policy documents — regarding use of Securus, the telephone service provider that serves correction centers, prisons, and jails.

As a professional reporter who covers criminal justice and homeland security, I assert that I am appropriately categorized as a media requester for the purpose of fees. In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request.
