Dear Mr. Morisy:

This is in response to your Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request (GSA
Number 240907) dated April 25, 2013, in which you requested a copy of the
database of General Services Administration (GSA) owned motor vehicles.

Attached please find the documents responsive to your request. These
documents contain a summary of the database of the U.S. General Services
Administration (GSA) owned motor vehicles. GSA leases approximately
one-third of the Federal fleet to agencies. The remaining two-thirds of
the Federal fleet consist of agency-owned vehicles.

I trust this information is helpful. Should you have further questions or
need additional information, please contact Dan Cruz (202) 357-9587, or by
email at Dan.Cruz@gsa.gov.

Hi,

Thanks for your help. I was looking for any more detailed databases kept of these vehicles, and not just a summary of that data. For example, whatever data was compiled to produce this summary sheet, and not just this sheet itself.

Thanks!

Michael

From: GSA FOIA

Good Afternoon:

Mr. Morisy, we responded to your original FOIA on June 14, 2013. In
reviewing your emails it appeals that you are seeking additional
information.

Please confirm, are you asking if GSA keeps a more detailed database(s) on
the vehicles listed in our spreadsheet (attached). This spreadsheet
provided you with a list of 205,442 vehicles. Your example is, instead of
just a summary of that data, you want whatever data was compiled to produce
that summary sheet, and not just the sheet itself.

If this is what you are asking, I will reach out to our Subject Matter
Expert and respond to you no later than the close of business tomorrow,
Tuesday August 20, 2013.

Mr. Morisy,
Would you please elaborate a little bit on exactly what information you are
looking for? It appears our initial response was too broad, and did not
satisfy your request, but we remain uncertain about what vehicle
information you would be interested in.

Thank you.

From: Michael Morisy

Thanks for your follow up, and I appreciate your help.

Specifically, I'm looking for a more detailed breakdown, which was presumably used to create the previously sent summary sheet.

In particular, for example, I am looking for makes, models, and if currently stored with this database, fields like mileage, notes on condition, status, etc. So instead of " 6large sedan", I'm looking for the data that includes whether the GSA has any Ford Touros, Chevy Impala, etc.

I hope this clarifies.

From: Daniel Reichmann - QMDFD

Mr. Morisy,
So I can be clear, we will prepare a file containing year, make, model, and
mileage of the vehicles in current active inventory in the GSA Fleet. That
would satisfy your request?

Thank you.

From: Michael Morisy

Yes, that is what I am requesting.

Thank you.

From: Daniel Reichmann - QMDFD

Mr. Morisy,
As discussed, attached please find a .txt file that contains the requested
information. Thank you for your patience as we refined your requirements
for FOIA 240907.
