Golden Sentry Investigative Visits

To Whom It May Concern:

This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:

Summary reports of all Investigative Visits and special End-Use Monitoring checks to examine possible violations of partner obligations imposed by the transfer agreement or other applicable agreement pursuant to AECA section 3 (22 U.S.C. 2753) and FAA, Section 505 (22 U.S.C. 2314) by the Defense Security Cooperation Agency in the year 2013, in the following countries: Egypt, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, UAE, Syria, Iran, Israel, Oman, Qatar, Iraq, Jordan, Morocco, Algeria, Libya, Tunisia, Lebanon, Yemen and Turkey.

I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

The OSD/JS FOIA office keeps receiving the attached monthly status request. Please note that the cited case number (12-F-0448) is incorrect. The correct case number is 14-F-0448. Please also note that this case was closed in September 2014 and our response letter is also included in the attached. Therefore, we consider this matter closed.
