To Whom It May Concern:

I wanted to follow up on the following Freedom of Information request, copied below, and originally submitted on Oct. 21, 2013. Please let me know when I can expect to receive a response, or if further clarification is needed.

Thank you for your help.

From: Cornell, Susan (NIH/OD) [E]

Mr. Smathers,

This responds to your December 13, 2013 emails sent to the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) asking for a status of your October 21, 2013, FOIA requests for the copies of the FY 2013 FOIA Log.

You may recall that you also submitted a request to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) that same day (Oct. 21, 2013) also asking for a copy of the FY 2013 FOIA Log. That request was assigned NIH FOIA 41786. We responded to that request on November 1, 2013 and provided a copy of the NIH FOIA Log. As we explained in our final response letter , the log provided to you on Nov. 1 included all requests received by NIH and its components during FY 2013, including NCI and NIDA.

In summary, your requests to NCI and NIDA were combined with your request to NIH and our response included the records for those components.

I hope this addresses your concerns.

Thank you,

Susan Cornell
