Hello,

Thank you for submitting your Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). Someone from our office will reach out to you as soon as possible regarding the status of your request.

Sincerely,

The FTC FOIA Unit

From:

Dear Mr. Manning,

This correspondence acknowledges the receipt of your Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request dated September 19, 2022 seeking documents regarding: any warning letters sent by the FTC, CID letters sent by the FTC, letters sent to or received by the FTC Commissioners by/from a member of Congress or the White House, FOIA requests responded to by the FTC, OIG reports delivered during the month of August 2022.

This request has been placed on hold for two reasons:

1. A fee agreement is required before we can begin processing your request. Under the FOIA, a fee agreement must contain an actual dollar amount you are willing to pay to complete the request.
2. The request, as written, is overly broad and would be unduly burdensome on the agency to process. Kindly narrow the scope of your request.

If you would like to discuss either reasons further, I am available for a conference call this week. Otherwise, failure to respond to this message within 10 business days will result in the closure of your request. A written response, with a clear refusal to meet the requests above, is considered a response.

You may check the status of your FOIA request by visiting http://www.ftc.gov/about-ftc/foia/foia-reading-rooms/track-your-foia-request. This report is updated at the end of each month. If you should have any questions regarding your request, please contact me at lrobinson@ftc.gov<mailto:lrobinson@ftc.gov>.
