Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

The Official Military Personnel File (OMPF) for Ronald Montgomery including Form DD-214, all Fitness Report and Counseling forms NAVPERS Form 1610/2, NAVPERS form 1610/1, Enlisted performance evaluation reports NAVPERS Form 1616-1, the Background Summary (NAVPERS Form 1640/32), Cumulative Record of Training (NAVPERS Form 5300/16), history of assignments NAVPERS 1070/605, Navy Training History NAVPERS form 601-4, all military decoration and full award citations, all military education/training courses, military service number.
Specifically request copy of history of assignments NAVPERS form 1070/605, copy of all commendation medal citations and all unit award citations with redactions as determined by FOIA officer.
Mr Ronald Montgomery claims retired navy enlisted servicemember and Chief Warrant Officer. approximate service dates 1970 to 1998 active duty. Claims numerous awards including meritorious service medal, navy commendation medal, navy achievement medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Overseas service ribbon and other decorations. graduate of basic underwater demolition training BUD/S. exact birth date unknown, approximately 1949 to 1953 . This request is submitted to corroborate claim to be a U.S. military veteran. NPRC search unable to locate the OMPF file.

PLEASE NOTE: I am general public and thus do not know the military service number. Mr Montgomery previously worked for government contractor Bechtel Nevada and Triple Canopy Inc security company.
I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press.
