To Whom It May Concern:

This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:

Processing/tracking notes, correspondence, and all documents regarding FOIA case FWS/LE ADM 4-08-2014-01083.

I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

Donald Triplett III

Dear Mr. Triplett,

This is another one that I have found since our move. I apologize for the
delay of our acknowledgment of your request. We have assigned your request
tracking number FWS-2014-01217. I have forwarded it to our Office of Law
Enforcement for processing. Given your fee category as a news media
requester, your request for a fee waiver is moot.

We use Multitrack Processing to process FOIA requests. The Simple track is
for requests that can be processed in one to five workdays. The Normal
track is for requests that can be processed in six to twenty workdays. The
Complex track is for requests that can be processed in twenty-one to sixty
workdays. The Exceptional/ Voluminous track is for requests requiring more
than sixty workdays for processing. The Expedited track is for requests
that have been granted expedited processing. Within each track, requests
are usually processed on a first-in, first-out basis.

Your request falls into the Complex processing track. You may narrow the
scope of your request to obtain quicker processing in your
currently-assigned track, move the request into a faster track, and/or
reduce the fees to process your request. If you have any questions about
this, please contact us.

Respectfully,

Melissa Allen

Dear Mr. Triplett,

I am not sure whether you have received any follow-up on this one (my notes
indicate that the other request you inquired about, FWS-2014-01216, was
completed on 10/30/2014; please alert me if you have not received that
response). I will follow up with the OLE here at HQ.
