To clarify your recent request, are you submitting a FOIA for the documentation of our processing of FOIA 2014-FS-R8-04192-F? We did just respond to your request this morning so I wasn't sure if this is a new request or if you were checking on the status of FOIA 2014-FS-R8-04192-F. I'm thinking this is a new request and you are asking for any records regarding processing/tracking notes/correspondence, and all documents regarding the processing of FOIA 2014-FS-R8-04192-F. Please let me know if I am correct so I can process this accordingly.

Dear Mr. Triplett:

I am working on responding to your appeal concerning Region 8's response to your FOIA request regarding the notes and documentation from your previous FOIA request regarding Operation Something Bruin. I have the following quick question about your appeal:

In your appeal, you state "it is beyond comprehension that one can redact the signature of Stephen F.
Ruppert." I am presuming that in this statement you are referring to an email signature, not to an actual signature (one written with a pen). All of the responsive records that have been referred to me are emails, so there are no "wet" signatures.

Can you confirm that you are referring to an email signature in your appeal? Please feel free to call me at the number below if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

[USDA USFS]
