Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

The Official Military Personnel File (OMPF) including all Fitness Report and Counseling forms (NAVPERS Form 1610/1, NAVPERS Form 1611-1, NAVPERS 1610/2), the most recent Cumulative Record of Training (NAVPERS Form 5300/16), the Background Summary (NAVPERS Form 1640/32), history of assignments (NAVPERS Form 1070/605), NAVPERS 1070/884 final active duty officer photograph, NAVPERS 1070/613, all military awards and full citations, military education/training courses and Form DD-214, for DONALD KIM ERSKINE. Request award citations.

Mr Donald Erskine retired as a commissioned officer of the United States Navy and was previously served as a navy enlisted petty officer. Claims Vietnam service medal, prestigious Legion of Merit award, silver star medal, purple heart, combat action ribbon and numerous other awards. Approximate Navy service dates 1970 to 1998. Served as regional director with US department of homeland security. Please redact any sensitive information protected in accordance with the Privacy Act of 1974.

I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. His military background experience and qualifications are a matter of public concern. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press.
