Good Afternoon Mr. Israel,

As noted in my previous letter to you dated August 31, 2017, Treasury’s Departmental Offices (DO) has initiated a search for responsive records to your request. We will make every effort to provide you with a timely response. Treasury DO uses a multi-track system consisting of simple, complex, and expedited processing tracks to manage and process requests on a first-in, first-out basis. Simple requests are answered more quickly and more complex requests generally require significant processing time. In FY16, the average processing time for a simple request was 24 days. The average processing time for complex requests was 208 days. Your case is now #635 in the complex track for processing.

Treasury DO updates its FOIA multi-tracks and queues weekly at https://www.treasury.gov/FOIA/Pages/reports_index2.aspx.

Good Afternoon Mr. Israel,

Thank you for reaching out to Treasury Departmental Offices (DO) FOIA for a status update.

I've reviewed our case file regarding your request. The assigned program office is still conducting their search for responsive records to your request.

Please keep in mind, Treasury DO processes FOIA requests in a multi-track system, which identifies a request as simple or complex, and processes each request on a first-in, first-out basis. Your request is considered complex and is currently #591 in our processing queue. You can follow the status of your request posted bi-monthly on Treasury's FOIA website. I've provided you a link to the latest report, just select/click Complex and search for your assigned case number. Treasury's average processing time for complex requests is approximately 208 business days.
