Hi Mr. Knox,

Thank you for returning my call this afternoon.

As discussed, you agreed to accept two sets of previously-released documents in lieu of your original request in regards to item #1 concerning Yucca Mountain. The first set will range between the years of 2008-2012. I hope to get this to you shortly.

Another set of documents (already in processing) from the past year will also be provided to you upon their release, once they are released to the original requester.

Please note, while receiving the documents, you will not receive appeal rights to any redactions that may be present.

Additionally, DOE will continue processing parts 2 and 3 of your request concerning the Skull Valley Gushote Indian Reservation and the Office of the United States Nuclear Waste Negotiator. We hope to have a response to you soon.

If this is inaccurate, please let me know.

All the best,

Danielle

From: Liam Knox

That all sounds good to me! Thanks again, Danielle.

Best,

Liam

Good afternoon Mr. Knox,

I wanted to give you an update on your request. Currently request is undergoing classification review which is a process that takes place outside of my office. I hope to have your documents out to you in within a few weeks after they clear the classification process , barring any delays that might occur during the review process.

Wednesday is the end of the fiscal year and I was wondering if you are amenable to having your request closed and re-opened under a new FOIA number for the new fiscal year. This will not affect the processing of your request, though it will restart the clock on your request for appeal purposes.

This would help me manage my caseload and workflow, but does not have any effect on processing your request. If you have any questions please feel free to respond to this email or reach me at the number below.

Respectfully,

Rich
