Hello Mr. Morisy:

In response to your inquiry the documents for the FOIA cases referenced in the subject line of your email have been processed on our end, there were pages within those responsive docs that were sent to DHS for consultation on April 29, 2015, which requires their review for possible withholding determination(s) for their portions within those documents. I’m awaiting feedback from DHS’s consultation and then the documents will be pushed forward for final review and finally disseminated to you.

Feel free to contact the following venues at any time to gain up-to-date case status information at:

FOIA@usss.dhs.gov<mailto:FOIA@usss.dhs.gov> or by office line: (202) 406-5838

We will be more than glad to assist you in staying abreast of the status of your case.

Thanks and have a great day.

Hello again Mr. Morisy:

Just to follow up to your email where you inquired about the status of your FOIA cases, I reached out to DHS and a representative from that office mentioned to me today that the team over at DHS is currently reviewing those consultation records that our agency sent to them for review, and they are trying to return those back to us as expeditiously as possible. Once we obtain the consultation docs back from DHS, your case will be reviewed for accuracy and then be released to you.

Again, please feel free to contact our office at any time to stay abreast of the status of your case and we are diligently working with DHS to forward you the records that you requested as promptly as we can.

Thanks for your patience.

Greetings Mr. Morisy:

In response to your follow-up email inquiring about the status of your FOIA case # 20140243, 20140248-20140250; our office is still awaiting DHS’s response to their consult of their portion of documents that requires their review. As stated previously our agency’s documents have been reviewed and processed, we are now just waiting for DHS to review and provide us with their withholding determinations for their own documents within the cases. We have been working persistently with DHS to obtain their determinations in effort to release the redacted documents to you as promptly as possible and I’ve been recently informed by DHS staff that the consult has been assigned to a processor there, and they are working diligently on returning their reviewed documents back to us. Once we obtain DHS’s reviewed and processed portion of documents, the case will then be reviewed for complete accuracy and then disseminated to you.

Once again, please do not hesitate in contacting us via the FOIA@usss.dhs.gov<mailto:FOIA@usss.dhs.gov> email to submit any future inquiries in regards your FOIA request. I apologize for the delay and ask that you bear with us as we resume with prompt measures in fully accommodating your request.
