Mr. Feathers,

I wanted to let you know that we are processing your FOIA request and also
wanted to see if you would be willing to narrow the request. We have
noticed that many of the responsive documents are simply news feeds or
press clippings that the Commissioners receive through their email. Thus,
much of the responsive documents are only copies of newspaper articles. We
suggest narrowing the request to not include these emails. This would
make our processing quicker and would also significantly decrease the
amount of pages you would have to look at in the response. I would be
happy to talk more about this narrowing with you. You can reach me
through this email or at 202-694-1542.

I also wanted to see if you are ok with getting responsive documents on a
rolling basis.

Again, please let me know if you have any questions and whether you would
be agreeable to narrowing your search.

Thanks,
Robert Kahn

Mr. Feathers,
I wanted to let you know that we are processing your FOIA request and also

wanted to see if you would be willing to narrow the request. We have
noticed that many of the responsive documents are simply news feeds or
press clippings that the Commissioners receive through their email. Thus,
much of the responsive documents are only copies of newspaper articles. We

suggest narrowing the request to not include these emails. This would
make our processing quicker and would also significantly decrease the
amount of pages you would have to look at in the response. I would be
happy to talk more about this narrowing with you. You can reach me
through this email or at 202-694-1542.
I also wanted to see if you are ok with getting responsive documents on a
rolling basis.
Again, please let me know if you have any questions and whether you would
be agreeable to narrowing your search.

Your email below did not reach the Federal Election Commission.

On Nov. 13, 2014:
Mr. Feathers,
I wanted to let you know that we are processing your FOIA request and also

wanted to see if you would be willing to narrow the request. We have
noticed that many of the responsive documents are simply news feeds or
press clippings that the Commissioners receive through their email. Thus,
much of the responsive documents are only copies of newspaper articles. We

suggest narrowing the request to not include these emails. This would
make our processing quicker and would also significantly decrease the
amount of pages you would have to look at in the response. I would be
happy to talk more about this narrowing with you. You can reach me
through this email or at 202-694-1542.
I also wanted to see if you are ok with getting responsive documents on a
rolling basis.
Again, please let me know if you have any questions and whether you would
be agreeable to narrowing your search.

Mr. Feathers,
I wanted to let you know that we are processing your FOIA request and also

wanted to see if you would be willing to narrow the request. We have
noticed that many of the responsive documents are simply news feeds or
press clippings that the Commissioners receive through their email. Thus,
much of the responsive documents are only copies of newspaper articles. We

suggest narrowing the request to not include these emails. This would
make our processing quicker and would also significantly decrease the
amount of pages you would have to look at in the response. I would be
happy to talk more about this narrowing with you. You can reach me
through this email or at 202-694-1542.
I also wanted to see if you are ok with getting responsive documents on a
rolling basis.
Again, please let me know if you have any questions and whether you would
be agreeable to narrowing your search.

Mr. Feathers,
I wanted to let you know that we are processing your FOIA request and also

wanted to see if you would be willing to narrow the request. We have
noticed that many of the responsive documents are simply news feeds or
press clippings that the Commissioners receive through their email. Thus,
much of the responsive documents are only copies of newspaper articles. We

suggest narrowing the request to not include these emails. This would
make our processing quicker and would also significantly decrease the
amount of pages you would have to look at in the response. I would be
happy to talk more about this narrowing with you. You can reach me
through this email or at 202-694-1542.
I also wanted to see if you are ok with getting responsive documents on a
rolling basis.
Again, please let me know if you have any questions and whether you would
be agreeable to narrowing your search.

?[c]opies of all emails sent or received by the Commissioners since July
1, 2013 mentioning the words ?Hillary? and/or ?Clinton,? not necessarily
capitalized.? We have conducted a search and attached are documents
responsive to this FOIA request. See FOIA 2014-85_0001-0090 (attached).

We have redacted information from the documents we are providing pursuant
to FOIA Exemption 6. Exemption 6 protects from disclosure information
that if released would constitute a clearly unwarranted invasion of
personal privacy. 5 U.S.C. § 552(b)(6). Additionally, approximately 95
pages of documents were withheld in their entirety. We have withheld
these documents pursuant to FOIA Exemption 5. Exemption 5 protects from
disclosure of "inter-agency or intra-agency memorandums or letters which
would not be available by law to a party other than an agency in
litigation with the agency." 5 U.S.C. § 552(b)(5).

You may appeal any adverse FOIA determination. Any such appeal must be
filed in writing and should follow the guidelines set forth in 11 C.F.R. §
4.8. If you have any questions about this response, or if you would like
to discuss your request, please feel free to contact me at (202) 694-1650.
Thank you for contacting the FEC.

Sincerely,
