This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request emails sent and received by former FDA employee Corey Hilmas that mention "The Natural Products Association" between January 1st, 2011 and December 31st, 2014.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

This is in response to your January 25, 2018, request under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) to the Food and Drug Administration's Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition (CFSAN), seeking emails sent and received by Cara Welch that mention "The Natural Products Association" between January 1, 2014 and December 31, 2017.
The attached document contains responsive records to your request. I have determined that portions of the document are exempt from disclosure under FOIA exemptions (b)(5) and (b)(6) of the FOIA 5 U.S.C. §552, as amended and delineated below:
· Exemption (b)(5) protects "inter-agency or intra-agency memorandums or letters which would not be available by law to a party ...in litigation with the agency."
· Exemption (b)(6)<http://www.usdoj.gov/oip/exemption6.htm> permits the government to withhold all information about individuals in "personnel and medical files and similar files" when the disclosure of such information "would constitute a clearly unwarranted invasion of personal privacy."
This completes CFSAN's processing of your request and considers this request closed. While we believe in the adequacy of our release determination and the search of appropriate files in CFSAN, you have the right to appeal this determination. By filing an appeal, you preserve your rights under FOIA and give the agency a chance to review and reconsider your request and the agency's decision.
