The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

An acknowledgement letter, stating the request is being processed.
From: Food and Drug Administration
A no responsive documents response.
From: anthony roberts
i would like clarification: are there no responsive documents at this time and none will be forthcoming (i.e. the FDA is not providing the requested documents to Senator McCaskill), or is has her request simply not been completed in the time she specified?
In the case of the latter, I would still appreciate being given a copy of any documents provided to her, whenever that should occur. In the case of the former, I would appreciate a copy of any letter(s) of denial sent to her.
Thank you for your time and consideration, and I look forward to your reply.

Dear Requester,
I am writing in response to your fax regarding this FOIA request. You received a No Records letter because no response to Sen. McCaskill had been sent at the time your request was processed. If you wish for us to conduct a new FOIA search for this letter, please submit a new FOIA request. If we receive a new request for the document, we will ask the Office of Legislation to conduct another search. We here in the FOIA Office are not privy to whether or not a response to Sen. McCaskill has gone out at this time.
Sincerely,
Sarah B. Kotler, JD

Dear Mr. Roberts,
I am not clear on why you are seeking status on this request. As you are aware, it was closed as a No Records response because there were no records responsive to your request at the time it was processed. As I mentioned in my email below, if you wish for another search to be done, you need to file a new request. Control 2016-3786 is closed.
Sincerely,
Sarah B. Kotler, JD
