This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:

Digital/electronic copy of the investigation report and documents concerning the FCC’s investigation of station WYGG, Asbury Park, New Jersey.

I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

We are processing the above captioned FOIA request which seeks documents relating to an investigation of Station WYGG, Asbury Park, NJ. We are checking with other components of the agency, including field offices to locate responsive records. If you have additional information regarding who conducted the investigation in question, when it occurred, or the outcome of the investigation, please let us know. This will ultimately reduce the cost of providing the records requested.

We are in the process of locating the documents responsive to your request. As required, we endeavor to respond to FOIA requests within 20 working days. However, where a request involves either a large number of documents or requires coordination with other components of the agency, we occasionally require the 10 working day extension provided for in 5 U.S.C. 552(a)(6)(b)(I). Because your request requires consultation with other components of the Commission, we are extending the deadline for our response by 10 working days, i.e., to March 20, 2015. Id.
