Ms. Hamilton,
You recently filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request asking for the following: "Any and all communications, including memos, emails, meeting minutes, calendar items and lobbying reports between the FCC and Bob Bolster, Jot Carpenter and/or John Walls containing the words/phrases 'wireless broadband' or 'wi-fi'." We have three questions related to this FOIA request:
1) What organization(s) do Bob Bolster, Jot Carpenter, and John Walls represent? This will assist us in searching for any communications from them.
2) Is there a particular office or bureau (such as the Office of the Chairman or the Wireless Transmission Bureau) that should search for responsive records? Having the entire Commission search for records would be unreasonably burdensome.
3) Is there a particular timeframe we should search (e.g., all communications since July 1, 2014)? While we can search for records from all time frames, it will take longer and older records have often either been properly disposed of or have been sent to the National Archives for storage.

Dear Mr. Yates -
Thank you for your response, I hope the following information helps clarify the request.
1) Bolster, Carpenter and Walls are each involved with The Wireless Association, formerly The Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association, so searching for communications with their names and both of those organizations as key words would be helpful.
2) Communications between the office of former Chairman Genakowski and current Chairman Wheeler.
3) Between 2012 and present if possible.
Again, I hope this is helpful and thank you so much for your assistance.
Sincerely,
Haley Hamilton
