To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

A copy of all files and materials concerning deceased rapper and lyricist Ermias Asghedom, a.k.a Nipsey Hussle (born August 15, 1985 in Los Angeles– died March 31, 2019 in Los Angeles).

Mr. Asghedom's death at age 33 was widely reported in the media, including the following obituary which was published on the front page of the New York Times:
https://www.nytimes.com/2019/03/31/arts/music/nipsey-hussle-dead.html

Therefore, no Privacy Act waiver is needed.

Because of Mr. Asghedom's prominence, and particularly because of his prominent role as an activist -- I believe it is likely that the FBI may have investigated him or held other material on him, and his ongoing activities.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

Michael McCullough
