Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
A copy of FBI files on Steve Ross, former CEO of Warner Communications, whose death was widely reported in the media on Dec. 21, 1992 (https://www.nytimes.com/1992/12/21/obituaries/the-creator-of-time-warner-steven-j-ross-is-dead-at-65.html). Please include any “cross-referenced” records relevant to this inquiry. Also please perform a search of “ELSUR” (Electronic Surveillance) records as well.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

I request that I be properly classified as a news media requester. I am a documentary filmmaker who has had films I have authored distributed in over 2000 theaters by Warner Brothers, and I am requesting this information in that editorial capacity.
I have also been employed as a writer by NBC Universal which can be seen on the following iMDB link:

In addition, I have covered areas related to this request on the live streaming morning news program JackAM (twitch.tv/jackam) which has received of 300,000 viewing hours on the streaming platform Twitch. I plan to use my editorial skills to analyze and produce original reporting work in the form of a documentary film.
