To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

- Any cross-referenced records containing "Anthrocon" or "Midwest FurFest" or related to the 2014 chlorine gas incident at the Hyatt Regency hotel in Rosemont, Illinois, including central records and records from the Chicago and Pittsburgh regional field offices.

To assist in searching, the 2014 Midwest FurFest convention was the site of a chlorine gas incident resulting in the evacuation of the hotel. According to news reports, the investigation of the incident included detectives from FBI Chicago's counter-terrorism and weapons of mass destruction unit: https://www.vice.com/en_us/article/kwxj39/the-mystery-of-who-launched-the-chlorine-gas-attack-at-a-midwest-furry-convention

In 2014, a local Pittsburgh news outlet also reported the FBI was investigating threats against the Anthrocon convention: https://www.wpxi.com/news/local/fbi-investigating-threat-against-furries-town-conv/139889758

For reference, I previously requested records from the central and ELSUR databases containing "furries" or regarding the furry subculture (FOIA request #1411086-000), and was told the search had returned no results. If there are any such related field reports or files containing "furry" or "furries" returned in this search, please include them.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

CJ Ciaramella
