To Whom It May Concern:
Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
- A printout or listing of Public Corruption investigations from 2017 until the date this request is processed.
For a sample of the kind of information I am seeking, please see the attached document, a DHS OIG FOIA/PA response (#2013-056) containing a redacted case log of their investigations. The attachment contains the following fields: Case Number, Received Date, Opened Date, Closed Date, Narrative, Allegation Code, Allegation Category, Allegation, Allegation Detail, Action Desc, Disposition Type, Allegation Status, Occupation, Violation Code, Violation Description, Allegation Type, though the layout need not be identical. I would also like the name of the public agency or agencies, if available. Other identifying information like US Attorney's office, jurisdiction, and docket number(s) would also be appreciated.
Since this request may contain a large number of cases, I understand I may receive partial deliveries as records are reviewed. Also, I am happy to consider alterations to this request that may expedite delivery yet provide similar information.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.
Sincerely,
Dan Rubins
