This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:
I request files on the newspaper Korean Independence, which operated in Los Angeles in the 1940s and 1950s. According to the book "The Korean War: A History," by Bruce Cumings, the FBI investigated several Koreans associated with the newspaper.

I am requesting these documents for the purposes of newsgathering for MuckRock.com. The requested documents will be analyzed by a representative of the news media before made available to the general public. This request is not being made for commercial purposes.
