To Whom It May Concern:

This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:

Any and all documents that the Federal Bureau of Investigation has regarding Louis Brandeis (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Louis_Brandeis). Proof of death is not required, because his death was widely reported. I would like to specify that the FBI should search all field offices as well as HQ for these records; to search the older, manual indices as well as the automated indices; and finally to include cross-references, as well.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

Russel Neiss

To whom it may concern,

On 3/28/16 I requested "Any and all documents that the Federal Bureau of Investigation has regarding Louis Brandeis (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Louis_Brandeis)." Which was assigned a FOIPA request number of 1347729-000. The request explicitly requested that the FBI should search all field offices as well as HQ for these records; and to search the older, manual indices as well as the automated indices; and finally to include cross-references, as well.

In response I received 8 pages of documents that seem to date 30+ years after the death of Mr. Brandeis, and merely mention the name of an auxiliary of the Zionist Organization of America named after him. I don't believe a reasonable search was executed in this instance and respectfully request a proper search be done.

Thank you

Please
