Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
Any documents related to the newspaper reporter, political activist, author, and aide to the Mayor of Chicago, Christopher Norris Chandler.
Proof of death is not necessary, as the death was reported in the mainstream media. A link to his obituary is provided, here:
This request is for any and all records about Christopher Norris Chandler from any and all FBI offices, including HQ, field offices (including, specifically, the Chicago field office) legal attaches, and facilities that maintain records under the FBI’s control.
In addition, this request also includes any “cross-referenced” records relevant to the inquiry. Along with “ELSUR” (Electronic Surveillance) records for Christopher Norris Chandler. These include the names of all people and/or locations for which the agency sought a court order for electronic surveillance.
In addition, this request asks the FBI to search the Sentinel database, the Investigative Data Warehouse, and the Data Integration and Visualization System for relevant documents related to Christopher Norris Chandler from the earliest records available until 2018.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
