To Whom It May Concern:

This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:

1) The publication titled or referred to as “Faith in God--Our Answer To Communism”
2) All records which discuss the creation of Faith in God--Our Answer To Communism, its purpose, when to distribute it, who wrote it, who authorized or commissioned it, and any deliberations as to what the content of it should include.
3) All records concerning the appropriateness of the publication.
4) Any other records which mention the “Faith in God--Our Answer To Communism”, except where it is only mentioned as an enclosure being sent unsolicited to an individual.

I am providing the following additional information to assist you in locating these records:

This request was first made to the FBI and was assigned FOIPA Request No.: 1152437· 001. The FBI responded by letter dated December 17, 2010 stating potentially responsive records were held by NARA using 100-HQ-50869 as a reference.

This publication was referenced as an enclosure in a letter dated September 29, 1964 signed (stamped) by J Edgar Hoover that comes from the FBI files on the Council of Foreign Relations.

This publication was also referenced in a letter dated October 17, 1962 signed (stamped) by J Edgar Hoover which was sent to an individual who was writing to request information on Oral Roberts.

I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

Jason Smathers
