This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:
-Amount of students that have filed the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)
-Amount of students that get selected for FAFSA Verification
-Amount of 0 EFC (Estimated Family Conteibution) filers that apply
-Amount of 0 EFC filers that are selected for FAFSA verification
-Amount of applicants with an EFC higher than $1,000
-Amount of applicants with an EFC higher than $1,000 who are selected for FAFSA verification
Please limit this request from Jan. 1, 2008 to the date this request is processed.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

Good afternoon,
This request has been Closed - Other Reasons.
"Staff from the Federal Student Aid office informed this office (FSC) that after a search of their
files, they were unable to locate any documents that were responsive to your request. See the
explanation below.
The request in the letter is not sufficiently specific, so we cannot draw accurate parameters
around what is being requested. In addition, we do not have sufficient data to fill many areas of
the request, such as records on FAFSA filers who have been incarcerated or FAFSA filers who
are at risk of not graduating from high school. The information being requested are not data
elements included in the FAFSA. If the requestor wished to submit a different FOIA request
using only data elements that are available on the FAFSA, it's much more likely that we would
be able to fulfill the request. The information being requested are not data elements included in
the FAFSA."
A final letter was mailed to Vanessa Nason on 4/21/2018.
