This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:
All communications between the UAS Integration office or other FAA components and Amazon or its founder, Jeff Brazos, regarding integrating UAV/UAS/drones into Amazon deliveries.
Please include:
-e-mail communications;
-meeting minutes;
-cease and desist letters;
-written memoranda or letters;
applications or proposals submitted by Amazon.
Given Jeff Bezos' recent statements to the media about integrating UAVs into Amazon operations, and the intense public interest surrounding this topic, I request expedited processing of this request.
I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

This message is pertaining to your FOIA Request 2014-1488 in which you ask
for a copy of all communications between the UAS Integration Office or
other components and Amazon or its founder regarding integrative
UAV/UAS/drones into Amazon deliveries. Due to the scope of information
that you are requesting, your request is still being processed and will
not be completed by the FOIA due date December 26, 2013. An additional 10
day (weekday) extension from December 26, 2013 is requested to complete
your FOIA case. A new due date of January 9, 2014 is requested to
complete your FOIA.
Please reply back and acknowledge to this extension.
