Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

With regards to the recent announcement by U.S. Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross about the revocation of export license exceptions on high-tech/military goods to China and Hong Kong:

1) Any memos, presentations, or internal documents that mention Intel and Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) exports of server processors to China/Hong Kong
2) Any memos, presentations, or internal documents that mention the product names "Xeon" "Xeon Phi" "AMD EPYC"
3) Any memos, presentations, or internal documents that mention the resale/reshipment of the above product names via Hong Kong into mainland China.

Dates for record search: May 2020-July 2 2020

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

I am reaching out to let you know that we encountered unusual circumstances during our search for documents pertaining to the scope of your request. We searched multiple offices for the responsive records and received 17,099,121 KB. We have various backlog to clear due to COVID and given that this is the holiday season, we are not expecting to make progress in the next few weeks. However, we will continue to follow up to ensure we move this case forward. Our best estimate time is probably mid to late January.

For your information, we have completed our search and located 270 pages of document responsive to your request. While reviewing, we found 129 pages of documents to be public information and will be released in full. The additional 141 pages are documents that originated from International Trade Administration (ITA). We are in consultation with ITA on a release determination and will respond to you as soon as we hear back from them.
