From: George Johnston

To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

A copy of US Army Major William J. Rausch's Officer Evaluation Report (OER) or reports from around June 28, 2018, until April 17, 2019 (approximate dates). MAJ Rausch served in East Africa during this time. While deployed, he was indicted for "Sexual Abuse" and also found guilty of stalking in a civil trial while on active duty orders.

While certain personal information on the OER may have to be redacted, there is a public interest in releasing this information because of his relationship to another missing person case -- Maura Murray -- and also, his questionable behavior while stationed overseas. The public has a right to know in the Army's eyes whether he upholds Sexual Harassment/Assault Response & Prevention, and lives in accordance with Army values.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

George Johnston
