Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

Any and all records, including reports, memos, alerts, emails, email attachments, investigative documents, intelligence documents, descriptions of chemical compounds, air and water monitoring documents, photos, studies and any other records that relate in any way to the February 3, 2023 train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio and its aftermath. This request seeks records compiled, produced, sent and/or received by EPA officials in EPA regions 3 and 5, including the EPA's on-site coordinators, contractors, as well as all scientists working on the response to the derailment. This request also seeks relevant records compiled, produced, sent and/or received by the regional administrators in EPA regions 3 and 5, as well as all records produced or in the possession of the EPA administrator's office at agency headquarters in Washington D.C. This request seeks records produced since February 1, 2023.

I am a reporter for The Guardian, The Nation and other outlets.

Thank you very. While I believe it was abundantly clear in my original request, in case it is helpful, records that are ‘related in any way’ means ‘records referencing.’ In other words, I am all records, including reports, memos, alerts, emails, email attachments, investigative documents, intelligence documents, descriptions of chemical compounds, air and water monitoring documents, photos, studies and any other records that reference the February 3, 2023 train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio and its aftermath. This request seeks records compiled, produced, sent and/or received by EPA officials in EPA regions 3 and 5, including the EPA's on-site coordinators, contractors, as well as all scientists working on the response to the derailment.
