Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

1 - A copy of any emails sent or received between 01/01/2016 and today by Dr Pierre Rollin with the keyword "Guinea" in the subject line or body of the email.

2 - A copy of any emails sent or received between 01/01/2014 and today by Dr Pierre Rollin with the keyword "Sandia" in the subject line or body of the email.

3 - A copy of any emails sent or received between 01/01/2014 and today by Dr Pierre Rollin with the keyword "Phoenix" in the subject line or body of the email.

4 - A copy of any emails sent or received between 01/01/2014 and today by Dr Pierre Rollin to/from any Sandia employees, as defined by their email domain : @sandia.gov

You can perform a simple keyword search to find the emails over the specified timeframe. Please note there's different timeframes in the request in order to reduce the number of emails and keep the request sufficiently narrow.

To help with your search, I think that Dr Pierre Rollin is in the Viral Special Pathogens Branch, Division of High Consequence Pathogens and PathologyNational Center for Emerging Zoonotic Infectious Diseases, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

This request should be properly classified as a media request. I am a freelance investigative reporter covering covering East and Central Africa, with a particular focus on business, corruption, natural resources, land and social issues.

I have a strong likelihood of publishing news articles based on information released in response to this request. I have previously been published in Le Monde Afrique, IRIN News, Sydney Morning Herald, African Arguments and others. In order to narrow down the request you can apply the following:
A - Restrict timeframe for points 1, 2 and 3 to 01/01/2016 to 01/01/2018.
B - For point 1, you can search for any emails containing the words "Guinea" and "sample"

I don't think that "Sandia" and "Phoenix" are common words. And so I think that the updated search terms, narrowed down timeframe and the very specific email inbox to search for those keywords provide sufficient details to permit a search with reasonable effort.

Could you confirm that this is sufficiently narrowed down for you?

If yes, I'm looking forward to receiving the documents.

Thanks for your message. I did reply to your correspondence which I've received on 26th October (attached with a date of 19th September). I have sent my reply via your portal (through muckrock) on 16th November (that is before the 20th November deadline) as follows:
