All records and documents recording the "700,000 cyber threats" blocked by the EINSTEIN 3A system, a number mentioned by Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson in his 2016 State of Homeland Security address.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

This letter pertains to your February 12, 2016, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) for "all records and documents recording the "700,000 cyber threats" blocked by the EINSTEIN 3A system, a number mentioned by Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson in his 2016 State of Homeland Security address". This office received your request on March 7, 2015.

This office requested that you contact us regarding your request via e-mail on April 8, 2016. In our message to you we requested that you contact us regarding the scope of your request and need contact with you to resolve questions that we have concerning the types of records that may satisfy your request. To date there has been no reply.

Before we begin the time-consuming search and review process, we need to clarify your request and want to ensure that you are still interested in continuing the processing of this request. Please indicate your continued interest in pursuing these records within 30 days from the date of this letter, or we will assume you are no longer interested in this FOIA request, and the case will be administratively closed.
