Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
I'm writing to request all correspondence between Betsy Devos, or any of her senior staff members, and any person working on behalf of the National Rifle Association. The correspondence should include emails, text messages, notes from meetings, and shared policy papers/proposals. The correspondence should fall within the following timeframe: February 14, 2018 - April 5, 2018.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

* All correspondence between the Office of Elementary and Secondary Education and any person working for, or on behalf of, the National Rifle Association. The correspondence should include emails, memos, text messages, notes from meetings, and shared policy papers/proposals. The correspondence should fall within the following timeframe: January 1, 2018 - August 23, 2018.
Please provided a list of staff members in the Office of Elementary and Secondary Education (OESE) who would have records regarding this request. Also, OESE has no programs that award States or Local Education Agencies (SEAs/LEAs) with funds for purchasing weapons. I look forward to a response from you by 09/05/2018. If no response, then your request will be administratively closed. Thank you.
