To Whom It May Concern:
This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:
All files and records mentioning Eduardo Galeano, a Uruguayan writer whose death on April 13, 2015 was reported on by the mainstream media (http://www.nytimes.com/2015/04/14/books/eduardo-galeano-uruguayan-voice-of-anti-capitalism-is-dead-at-74.html), or his work, including but not limited to "Open Veins of Latin America," a book that was banned by some governments in South America. Please consult all potentially relevant internal databases, as would be reasonably identified by an employee familiar with this author and agency operations that would relate to the subject.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.
Sincerely,
Beryl Lipton
