Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

All emails, email attachments, memos or other documents related to NIH's April 2020 decision to cut research funding to the EcoHealth Alliance, a group that studies zoonotic disease spillover around the globe. This request includes, but is not limited to, the emails that are described in the following news article: https://www.politico.com/news/2020/04/27/trump-cuts-research-bat-human-virus-china-213076.

This request seeks emails and other records in the possession of NIH top leaders and their executive staff, and also seeks any emails or records received by NIH from the White House.

This request seeks records produced since April 1, 2020.

I am a reporter for The Guardian and The Nation magazine, among other outlets.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
