This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:
I would like all processing notes and "discussions" for my FOIA appeal 16-00895-F, which concerns the DEA's intent to emergency schedule kratom. It was received by the Department of Justice on February 8th, 2017. I did not receive a response until July 21st, 2017, several months past the required deadline. The response was to remand the appeal back to the DEA, which I was told required "discussions between DEA personnel and this Office." I am hereby requesting copies of those discussions (whether in email or whatever form they occurred). I am also requesting all processing notes related to this request.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
