This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:

Documents on the following:
-Legal opinions and advice to the FBI regarding their use of spyware and the recent amendment to the Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure known as Rule 41. This includes communications with the FBI, memos and reports.
-Emails, reports, memos, transcripts on the formulating of the legal opinion of the DOJ Office of Legal Counsel regarding the FBI's use of spyware and Rule 41.
I would ask that the search be conducted with a date range of 1/1/2012 to the present date.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
