This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:

I request all documents, memos, and communications (including written, email, and electronic correspondence) related to or mentioning instructions to review and/or publicize investigations involving Iran or Iranian nationals.

In an article published November 19th, the Washington Post reported that national security prosecutors at the Justice Department had been told to look at any ongoing investigations involving Iran or Iranian nationals with an eye toward making them public.

I am member of the news media and I request that you categorize me as such for the purpose of fees. I am a reporter whose work has been published with McClatchy Newspapers, The Investigative Fund and Al Jazeera English. I am currently pursuing journalistic projects in the employ of outlets including The Investigative Fund, Climate Home and MuckRock. I am requesting this information for the purposes of newsgathering for MuckRock.com.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
