This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

Dear Shawn Musgrave,
This is in response to your Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request, as stated below. Your request was received in this office and assigned FOIA case number 12-F-1291.
Please understand that there is no central FOIA processing point for the entire Department of Defense (DoD). Each DoD component/service is responsible for processing requests related to their own organization. This office, for example, only processes FOIA requests related to the Office of Secretary of Defense and the Joint Staff (OSD/JS).
I am not aware of a nexus or connection between the requested information and this office. Records responsive to your request would likely be maintained by the U.S. Northern Command (USNORTHCOM), which operates its own FOIA office. You may request these records, if they exist, directly from that office. Contact information is located at:

This action closes your request in this office.
Respectfully,
