To Whom It May Concern:

This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:

Transcripts of all interviews conducted by the DHS OIG for its September 2013 report, "DHS Uses Social Media To Enhance Information Sharing and Mission Operations, But Additional Oversight and Guidance Are Needed"

I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

Shawn Musgrave

Mr. Musgrave,

I already responded to you regarding this issue on June 4th to the email address: requests@muckrock.com.

As I stated in that email, it is my understanding that our appellate attorney has sent you correspondence regarding your appeal. Because you have appealed your fee category, we cannot process your FOIA request until the appeal is decided, since your request is voluminous and will accrue fees.

Please respond to the appellate attorney's emails, so that the appeal can be acted on.

Also, it seems you are using two different email accounts for this FOIA request 2014-001 and appeal 2014-A05. Please tell us which one to use going forward.

Sincerely,
Kirsten Teal
